Barry's Greene Claims Another Women's Hoops Weekly Accolade

Barry senior forward Mariesa Greene has once again earned the distinction of Sunshine State Conference Women's Basketball Player of the Week for the period ending January 18.

Greene (Indianapolis, Ind.) was a dominating force in a pair of Buccaneer conference wins last week, averaging 27.0 points, 18.5 rebounds, 1.5 blocks, 1.0 assist, and 0.5 steals per contest.  Greene opened the week with 32 points, 25 rebounds, an assist, a block, and a steal in a 62-57 overtime win against Florida Tech.  In a 62-51 win versus Nova Southeastern, she notched her second double-double of the week with 22 points, 12 rebounds, two blocks, and an assist.  In two outings, Greene shot a red hot 76 percent (22-of-29) from the field and 63 percent (10-of-16) at the free throw line.
