Tech's Brantley and Pyles Again Chosen Women's Soccer Players of the Week
Florida Tech's Teresa Brantley and Melissa Pyles have been honored as Sunshine State Conference Women's Soccer Players of the Week for the period ending October 25.
![]() | OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK -- Florida Tech senior F Teresa Brantley (Satellite Beach, Fla.) tallied the golden goal in the 108th minute to lift the No. 17 Panthers to a 1-0 win over Saint Leo. She followed the performance by assisting on a goal in Tech’s 3-0 conference victory over Tampa. The win keeps the Panthers in the hunt for the regular-season title heading into this week’s final matches. |
![]() | DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK -- Florida Tech senior GK Melissa Pyles (Port Orange, Fla.) notched two shutouts in a pair of key wins last week. In a double OT thriller versus Saint Leo, Pyles made four saves to help preserve a 1-0 non-conference win against the third-ranked offense in NCAA DII. Facing Tampa, she made eight stops to lift Tech to a 3-0 SSC victory. Pyles has now recorded seven shutouts on the season. |
