Barry's Carlos Velez Named Men's Golfer of the Week
Barry sophomore Carlos Velez has been named Sunshine State Conference Men's Golfer of the Week for the period ending February 24.
Velez (Miami, Fla.) fired a three-round 224 (74-75-75) to finish 12th among 77 golfers at the St. Edwards Invitational in Austin, Texas. Velez’ performance helped the Buccaneers finish tied for fifth in the 14-team field.
