SLU's Fran Reidy Becomes 2nd VP of Division II Athletic Directors Association

Saint Leo Director of Athletics Francis X. Reidy has been promoted to a two-year term as the 2nd Vice President and Treasurer of the Division II Athletic Directors Association (D2 ADA). Reidy will serve his term during the 2012-13 and 2013-14 academic years.
Reidy served as the Association’s 3rd Vice President in the previous term. The elevation in the D2 ADA follows in the footsteps of his National Association of Collegiate Athletic Director’s Division II Southeast Region Athletic Director of the Year Award in June.
Anita Barker, director of athletics at Chico State, will serve as the president of the DII ADA during the next two years.
In addition to Reidy and Barker, the following directors of athletics were selected as D2 ADA officers: 1st Vice President Eric Schoh, Winona State University and 3rd Vice President/Secretary Joseph Polak, Southern New Hampshire University.
The Division II Athletic Directors Association is the first organization of its kind to provide educational and networking opportunities, enhancement of acceptable operating standards and ethics; and establishment of the overall prestige and understanding of the profession of Division II athletic directors.
