Anderson Named Daktronics National Player of the Year

Adding to his already-impressive resume, Barry senior soccer standout Mark Anderson was named the Daktronics Division II Ron Lenz National Player of the Year on Wednesday. Seven other SSC players were also recognized on the Daktronics Men's Soccer All-America Team.
Anderson, of Durham, England, leads Division II with 21 goals and ranks second with 46 points. The South Region Player of the Year finished his four-year career with 59 goals and 150 points. He was also named the Capital One Academic All-America of the Year on Wednesday.
Anderson was the lone SSC representative on the Daktronics first-team list. Lynn midfielder Heiko Eberhardt and defender Jason Sangha, as well as Rollins defender Justin Clark were recognized on the All-America Third Team.
Four student-athletes earned honorable mention. Honorees were: Barry goalkeeper Johnny Rodrigues, Lynn forward Harald Gracholski, Barry midfielder Guilherme Oliveira, and Tampa defender Brian Fekete.
